North Country Mercantile is owned and operated by Don Nelson. Don managed the store for 12 years before purchasing from the original owner in 2000. In 2005 North Country Mercantile was moved into the brand new store in the lot next-door.

Every year, we participate in and sponsor the Barnyard Olympics at the North Dakota state fair. We are also a proud member of our local chamber of commerce.

We are known for having knowledgeable and friendly staff, personal relationship with most our customers, and we often provide feed consultations and vaccinations.
